About the Program

Students

Students are hand-picked, at-risk high school students who have demonstrated responsibility, motivation, and determination to overcome their personal circumstances. Foundation For C.H.O.I.C.E. receives student recommendations from partner high schools. There is a student application and a face to face interview to determine program acceptance.

Mentor Program

Throughout the 27-week course the mentor and student meet once a week during school hours around the student’s lunch.  The C.H.O.I.C.E. Mentoring Program has developed weekly curriculum that the mentor utilizes when meeting with the student to fully maximize the value of their time as well as provide the student with the tools and resources necessary to prepare them for college and career.

Business Partners

A business partner is a company that gets to work with a mentor and student team to engage in a meaningful Business Research project. They give economically disadvantaged students an opportunity to learn from businesses in a professional manner, and provide them with a vision into what their future can look like.
